SAM Medical Junctional Tourniquet

The SAM® Junctional Tourniquet (SJT) is an advanced junctional hemorrhage control device designed to control life-threatening bleeding in areas where a standard extremity tourniquet cannot be effectively applied. Designed for inguinal (groin) and axillary (armpit) hemorrhage, the SAM Junctional Tourniquet can be applied in under 25 seconds and can also provide pelvic stabilization for suspected pelvic fractures.
Developed by SAM Medical, the SJT combines targeted hemorrhage control and pelvic stabilization in a compact trauma device. It is designed for military medicine, tactical medicine, EMS, paramedics, fire/rescue, law enforcement, aeromedical teams, hospitals, emergency departments, remote medicine and advanced trauma response.

Product attributes:

• Rapid Application: Designed to be applied in under 25 seconds for rapid junctional hemorrhage control.
• Inguinal & Axillary Hemorrhage Control: Designed for severe groin and axillary bleeding where a traditional arm or leg tourniquet cannot be effectively positioned.
• Pelvic Stabilization: Provides pelvic stabilization and immobilization for suspected pelvic fractures.
• Target Compression Device (TCD): Provides focused compression directly over the target area to help occlude blood flow.
• AUTOSTOP® Buckle: Helps eliminate slack before TCD inflation. When approximately 150 N of circumferential force is reached, the buckle prongs engage through the Precision Strap to help confirm proper application.
• Rapid TCD Inflation: The Target Compression Device can be inflated using the included removable hand pump or a compatible Luer-lock syringe.
• Bilateral Compression: Two TCDs can be used to provide bilateral compression when required.
• Radiolucent Design: Materials are radiolucent except for the two stainless-steel springs within the buckle.
• Compact & Portable: Packs into a compact carrying configuration for trauma kits, tactical medical bags and emergency response equipment.
