First Responder Recertification Course

Course Description: This First Responder (FR) recertification course covers comprehensive first aid and CPR training for professional first responders or individuals in need for FR recertification. This course focuses on important skills, including the patient assessment model, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, hemorrhage control, and care for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
Participants in this course will benefit from engaging and dynamic training techniques. These include video presentations, multimedia demonstrations, hands-on practice sessions, interactive discussions, and real-life scenario-based training. This multifaceted approach ensures that participants are well-prepared to handle a variety of emergency situations effectively.
Intended Audience: This course is designed for a wide range of professionals and individuals aged 13 and older, including those in fire services, rescue teams, workplace response teams, sports medicine, lifeguarding, and ski patrol.
Course Prerequisites:
- Participants must have current Canadian Red Cross First Responder with BLS Certification that is about to expire. Your card cannot be expired (FR certificate expires 3 years to the day after it was issued. BLS certificate expires 1 year to the day after it was issued)
